From the “El Pocito” vineyard. Vines from 80 to 110 years old.

El Pocito has granitic soil with a lot of quartz. Altitude above sea level between 800 and 900 metres.

Vineyard on steeply sloping terraces with a narrow 1.4×1.4 m planting frame.

A complex and silky wine, clean and intense, with very lively and expressive ripe fruit.

  • Very low yields due to the age of the vineyard: 500 g per vine.
  • Harvest in 10 Kg boxes with selection of clusters in the vineyard.
  • Destemming and grape-by-grape selection on the sorting table.
  • Gravity fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
  • Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
  • Daily gravity-fed towing and pumping.
  • Malolactic fermentation in new 300-litre French oak barrels.
  • Aged in 500 and 300 litre French oak barrels for 25 months.
