Our blend of the three grapes (Tempranillo, Calabrés and Rufete) conveys the aroma of our landscape: it comes from three old vineyards between 80 and 110 years old located in Villanueva del Conde, at an altitude of 700 m and 750 m above sea level.
Soils: The soil consists mainly of degraded granite, with little organic matter, which means that yields are low and the minerality of the wine, on the other hand, is more pronounced.
All Cámbrico vineyards are cultivated in an organic way, no mineral or synthetic fertilisers are used, the balance in the soil is achieved by plant cover, grazing with sheep during the vine’s winter break and small fertilisers with compost from local livestock farms and the remains of stubble and pomace from fermentations.

In 2018, flowering was late due to a very cool spring which was also rainy.
The summer was dry and also relatively cool. As a result, the grapes ripened slowly and the harvest began on 15 September.
The grapes arrived at the winery in perfect condition, healthy and homogeneous.
Aromas of blackberry, plums, sweet spices and lavender. Smooth tannins, freshness, enveloping, a touch of liquorice and very persistent on the palate.
- Harvest in 16 kg crates with selection of clusters in the vineyard. Manual selection of grapes.
- Fermentation in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts.
- Natural malolactic fermentation in barrels.
- Aged in 300 and 500 litre French oak for 13 months.
